How Lysoveta® LPC omega-3 is made

Lysoveta begins with concentrated Antarctic krill oil. During enzymatic hydrolysis, a lipase targets a fatty acid on phosphatidylcholine, or PC. Removing that fatty acid initially creates 1-LPC, and some 1-LPC naturally rearranges into 2-LPC. The result is an LPC-rich marine oil containing both configurations.

The released fatty acids are primarily converted into ethyl esters, with a smaller portion remaining as free fatty acids. The finished oil supplies EPA and DHA across several lipid classes.
